A bed and breakfast, often referred to as a B&B, is a type of boarding house typically operated out of a large single family residence. You certainly won't encounter the generic rooms of common hotels at B & B's. Many innkeepers and former innkeepers have turned to consulting in an effort to increase research information and professional attitudes for would-be bed and breakfast operators.
And no B&B has ever had a curfew. Many times people don't take into account the business side of innkeeping. If a B&B has less than ten rooms, the chances are very good that the innkeeper, the innkeeper's spouse, or both has outside income. Inkeepers tend to be aware of their guests privacy and do what it takes to preserve it.
Being away from it for a short period of time can make it much more appealing than it was before. Bed and Breakfast Inns really are more economical when you consider the entire price of the stay. There are many myths about bed and breakfasts. While they have enjoyed staying at B&Bs, they haven't seen the inside view of this people intensive industry, the mound of office paperwork, the constant interruptions during the day, and the piles of laundry waiting to be finished.
If you've avoided looking at B&Bs as an option because of the cost, think again. Innkeepers take pride in serving well balanced and tasty meals allowing guests to enjoy every aspect of their stay. I would be very wary of a facility that wasn't proud to show its exterior and at least one photo of the inside of each room.
Unlike a hotel most B&B's are small enough that a canceled reservation usually means they've missed out on other opportunities. Either option offers lots of possibilities.
