As with hotels, there are good B&Bs and bad B&Bs. The first thing to consider is the area of the country you will be visiting. There are very few people who don't enjoy sometime at the beach. The owner usually lives in the same home and will do everything they can to make sure your stay is a pleasant one.
You can always go back to the bed & breakfast again in the future. Don't worry if you aren't quite ready to head back home though.
