Bed Breakfast Directories
The B&B arrangement is actually a very old one, before the 20th century, it was quite normal for country travelers to spend the night at a private house rather than an inn, and the custom persists in many parts of the world. It is possible for guests to stay more than one night, but in some cases they will be expected to be away from the house during the main part of the day. Inn consultants have created a profession within a profession.
I would be very wary of a facility that wasn't proud to show its exterior and at least one photo of the inside of each room. The owner usually lives in the same home and will do everything they can to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. In many instances we appreciate what we have back at home more than ever. In areas less often visited by tourists, B&Bs can be an amazing bargain.
If you are tired of your same old routine why not spice it up a bit and try a B&B. Innkeepers often plan their day, including shopping for your breakfast foods, around guests arrival times. They may stumble upon a few unsuspecting guests. A bed & breakfast has become the reality of a rewarding career combined with hard work and dedication.
And no B&B has ever had a curfew. Many towns across America offer the b&b experience but only have a handful of options for you to consider. For many of the more popular B&B's are located in beach and mountain areas, such as Hawaii, New England, and Colorado where daytime recreation and tourism activities are popular. You can talk to the innkeeper so that you'll almost sure to be alone if you wabnt your own room.
This is just a little sample the bed and breakfast experience. With a little research you should be able to find a good B&B that fits your preferences.
