Dordogne Region France Bed & Breakfast Hotels

The best bed and breakfasts are small and privately owned. You get the benefits of living at home with service that rivals the best hotels. One of the best things about staying at B&Bs is that each one is unique.

They may stumble upon a few unsuspecting guests. But in all the times that my husband and I have stayed at B&Bs, this has never been a real problem. As the name suggests the daily rate of a Bed and Breakfast stay will certainly include the first meal of the day. A Bed and Breakfast may charge what seems like expensive nightly fees, but everything is basically included from local phone calls to movies, and concierge services to parking.

In areas less often visited by tourists, B&Bs can be an amazing bargain. Guests are mostly unfamiliar with these guidelines and tend to overlook any violations. In some areas like New York City, for example, high-quality B&Bs are very competitive with hotel prices. Although they might own beautiful homes which have been restored and immaculately decorated, most innkeepers don't even make all their income at the inn.

You won't be forced to interact with other guests, nor will you have to sit down with the innkeeper and look at old family photos. As with hotels, there are good B&Bs and bad B&Bs. For many of the more popular B&B's are located in beach and mountain areas, such as Hawaii, New England, and Colorado where daytime recreation and tourism activities are popular. In some cases the owner was a gourmet chef and his skills make meals truly enjoyable.

One key piece of advice though is to plan your bed & breakfast travels well in advance. Innkeepers want you to have a great time, and they want you to come back.
